Photography styles have changed
a little a LOT since I got married. At just 20, I was quite a young bride and had very limited knowledge as to what I even wanted in a wedding photographer. I think my Mom picked him (love ya, Mom!), but if I said there are certain images I wouldn't LOVE to have from our wedding day, I'd be lying. Obviously, I can't go back and redo the actual moments of my vows with my husband, but shots like below?...oh, yes.
Today, I pulled out my wedding dress (it still fits!) and created what I CAN do.
I love the fact that these were taken in our home...the place we've shared and raised our family the past 14 years. (Raise your hand if you just calculated my age!) ;)
I still love my dress (not to say there aren't 100 other styles out there I'd probably pick today.)
Not quite off the shoulder, it was called "tip of the shoulder". I think what I love most about creating these images...
...is the reminder of the promise I made, the promise made to me...
...and the love we still share. (Sorry so sappy. Hey, I'm still in love! That's a good thing, right? ;)
Photographs like this will be my treasure and will one day be my children's treasure.
